SUMMER
Large and bright mezzotint with intense and brilliant colours, depicting a sweet scene with a boy who, climbing a tree, offers a nest to some girls. Plate dated 1936 and signed by the artist, in a fine contemporary gilded frame.

Engraver: Loulis Busiere, born engraver and iitographer
On 19 September 1880 in Denain, died on
24 September 1960 in Savigny-sur-Orge
Pupil of Leon Bonnat and Jacquet, he was introduced
at the Universal Exposition of Panigi in 1900
with an engraving by Rubens. In 1904 he won
the Prix de Rome (a scholarship) and in 1914
he participated in the Salon das Artistes Francais
from story by Henry Thomson
