This silhouette, both simple and voluptuous, was born more than 1000 years ago.
This refined silhouette has spanned the centuries and become one of the great classics of Asian art. And these jars, originally fitted with a lid and intended to contain alcohol, have since become decorative objects very popular with collectors.

Here, this jar has been incised then magnified by the application of pure 24-carat gold in order to imitate the cracks restored with kintsugi. Signed by Maker See less
