Crafted in France circa 1960 in the style of Maison Baguès, this elegant vintage five-light wall sconce showcases the refined craftsmanship and decorative artistry associated with the renowned Parisian lighting house. The sculptural fixture features an elaborate, symmetrical arrangement of scrolling ironwork, delicate floral rosettes, and graceful curved arms, all enhanced by a beautifully aged silvered finish.
The decorative backplate rises in a fan-shaped composition of sweeping scrolls and slender stems, embellished with raised floral blossoms and crowned by a distinctive heart-shaped double scroll. Five gracefully curved arms extend outward from the central body, each supporting a floral bobeche and decorative candle sleeve. The lower section features an urn-shaped ornament with a crystal-like appearance, resting above an intricate arrangement of scrolling iron tendrils. The combination of delicate metalwork, floral motifs, and classical proportions reflects the sophisticated Hollywood Regency aesthetic associated with Maison Baguès.
The antique-style wall sconce is in excellent condition commensurate with age and use, retaining a rich patinated silvered finish. Newly wired to US standards and fitted with five decorative candle sleeves, the fixture includes hanging hooks on the back for installation. Ideal for a powder room, entryway, hallway, or bedroom.
