The interior dome lid features a decorative paper liner with humorous engravings of haplass servants making a mess of the moving process. In one scene, a man barrels through piles of overturned travel cases and trunks with garments spilling out of the trunk on his back. Another scene features a female housemaid pondering broken china on the floor, which had just slipped from her serving tray.

Particularly love the -- neither too big, nor too small -- size of this trunk, which makes it suitable for placement underneath a larger furniture piece or for use in cozier spaces. Note that the trunk's interior lacks hardware to hold the lid in an upright position when open and will fall back to the floor unless supported. Accordingly, would recommend either adding replacement hardware or displaying the trunk alongside a wall to ensure necessary support when the trunk is in an open position. See less
