Knee room is maximized since the one and a half inch thick top planks need no supporting apron. The lyre shape of the legs is also a very strong design, enhanced even further by a trestle shimmed into place, with the feet at the bottom elegantly contoured to eliminate sharp corners and snagging your shoes as you get up from the table.
