Japanese Bronze Vase/ Urn by Hannya Kankei ( Japan 1933-1989) Showa era. Beautifully turned globular urn with shoulder bands and hand-finished lacquer patina over the whole. The large and heavy casting is finished in a deep chocolate tone with waves of deep red and plum in the patina. Big movements with fine small detailed collar bands. Please see the shapes in the detailed photos. The measurements are 13" tall and 15" in diameter. Signed with seal impressed in the bottom.
The studio wooden case is signed and tied in blue strapping. The measurements are 16" by 16" by 16".
