This Vintage Persian Tabriz Rug measures 9'9" x 14'2" and is hand woven with wool on a cotton foundation in the Tabriz region of Iran. Originally created during the Safavid dynasty in the 16th century, Persian rug-weaving is an important part of Persian (Iranian) art and culture, dating back to the Bronze Age. This particular rug has been refinished in the U.S. to bring out its exquisite craftsmanship.
