Offered is a vintage late 1970s ceramic gray floral motif mug from Tonalá in Jalisco, Mexico and created by Ken Edwards renowned for his studio, El Palomar.
The flower is typical of the region, as are the colors, made from natural tints native to the area. Ken Edwards was born in the USA, educated in the Arts in Kansas City, Missouri and studied his art in Japan. In the 1960's Ken Edwards migrated to the crafts village of Tonala, in Central Mexico, where he founded the company known as Ken Edwards Stoneware.
Measures 5.5" tip of handle to edge, 4.25" base diameter, 3.25" mouth diameter, 4" tall
