It … Read more Mid Century Alfredo Barbini (1912-2007) Pink and Lavender Murano Italian Art Glass Ribbed Center Bowl that dates to 1950's-1960's. It has its original label and is in very good condition. Pink is a rare and valuable color in glass blowing because it takes special handling and is expensive to produce. He did this piece in a lot of different colors, with slight variations, and is featured in his catalogue. This one measures 11 1/2”W x 10 1/4”L and is in good condition with the usual wear on the bottom. Among numerous other honors, Barbini was awarded the "Osella d'Oro" by Venice's Associazione degli Industriale and the honorary title "Commendatore" and was named "1989 Venetian of the Year" by the Settimare Association.
