In the early 1930s, the Finnish architect and designer Alvar Aalto (1898 - 1976) designed the practical tea cart, which was produced by the Horgenglarus company and sold by Wohnbedarf AG. Frame made of birch molded plywood, surface made of red linoleum with birch edging. Lower shelf made of birch wood, basket made of wicker. The tea cart is in its original condition and has a fantastic patina. It was cleaned and the wooden parts waxed. The birch wood has acquired a beautiful, honey-colored tone over the many years. The rubber wheels are not brittle and run excellently. The removable wicker basket is also in excellent condition. There are various stains and discolorations on the red linoleum shelf. However, this does not spoil the perfect overall condition. Length 80cm. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
