A yellow butterfly about to land on a red flower is the subject of this small original chinoiserie painting. The painting is done on wood with a linen-like textured background and the subject matter is highlighted in an arch.
The painting is matted in natural linen and double framed in gilded wood. The outer frame is carved into faux bamboo, gilded and antiqued giving it a rich patina.
Signed by the artist.
