This iconic creation from designer Wendy Gell features a classical cherub surrounded/adorned by gorgeous and vibrant gems/faux pearls, making it the perfect 80s Glam Rock brooch. Wendy Gell's back ground was in music, she was a songwriter for Jackie DeShannon, which may have much to do with why her creations were beloved in the Rock 'n' Roll world as much as they were in the Fashion world. Her jewelry was a favorite among Andy Warhol, Oscar de la Renta and Vogue. Oprah was also a fan and brought her on the show, and Bruce Springsteen wrote a song about her.
