The cameo is framed by a delicate surround of natural seed pearls, creating a beautifully soft and romantic composition characteristic of the period.

Likely of Italian origin, probably Naples, the ring dates to approximately 1860–1880 and is an elegant and highly wearable example of Victorian cameo jewelry.

The coral displays a rich natural salmon-orange hue with lovely depth of color, while the raised carving gives the piece wonderful presence on the hand.

The coral cameo measures 17 mm x 12 mm and is approximately 7 mm deep.
