The idealized, rural … Read more An elegant, dynamic, fully finished, 19th century terracotta sculpture of richly attired figures in the Chinoiserie style. The idealized, rural imagery features two women in flowing robes beside a fence; one seated on a tassled carpet, and another standing, grasping a handful of blossoms. They observe a boy at play with roosters. The whole mounted on a hand-carved, 22k gold gilded, raised, oval base.
