Likely a 16th century copy of a 2nd century original known as the “Grimani Vitellius”, which was gifted to Cardinal Domenico Grimani for his private collection in 1523. Then in 1630, the Cardinal willed his large collection to the state, becoming what is known today as the National Archeological Museum of Venice. See less
