A soft honed stone storage jar with a … Read more A beautiful mid century circular round green Italian alabaster hinged trinket box. A soft honed stone storage jar with a lid in green almost jade-like color. The shape is circular with a gold metal hinge and alabaster top which opens to reveal the inside compartment. On the top of the trinket box, over the stone, is a multi-color floral motif design of a pink and yellow bouquet of flowers with green leaves. Craquelure, scratch or very small crack to the top at one of the flowers. However, it is just at the surface. (See photos)

The hinged lid top opens to reveal a compartment for the storage of small trinkets. (We'll leave it up to you what goes in it. But it’s perfect for small items such as jewelry, desk items, or any other small things you’d like to hide away) A gold-tone metal rim covers the lip of both the top and bottom of the lid and opening of the box. The metal is in a gold color and shows some signs of wear such as rubbing at the gold metal lips.

How We Would Style It:
Though this piece is a mid-century piece, it certainly reminds us of Art Deco or Victorian-era style. We love the idea of it on a vanity table, arranged and styled around a few perfume bottles. It would be a great way to hide away jewels that you don’t want out in the open. (Or worse, to go down the sink!)
