The shell lifts off to reveal a small bowl to keep change, loose herbs, cone incense, jewelry etc. Could also be used as a incense burning or herb bowl or an ashtray.

The sheen can be adjusted of course by simply polishing the brass with a soft clothe with or without a brass polish solution.

Due to the varying preference as far as brass sheen, I have not polished this item. If you chose to purchase and want a shiny brassy mirror like sheen you may request the same with your payment and I will polish before I mail out. This will only delay shipping by a day at most. See less
