The original work is part of Orme's Collection of British Field Sports, a landmark in sporting art, featuring twenty exquisitely hand-colored engravings based on designs by the celebrated artist Samuel Howitt. Published by Edward Orme of London between 1807 and 1808, this series showcases vibrant scenes of hunting, shooting, and racing. Howitt, renowned for his depictions of wildlife, hunting, and equestrian subjects, collaborated with five master engravers to bring these dynamic scenes to life.
