Charles Ruchot (1871-1954) sculpture in regula "Distress
A spelter sculpture representing a woman looking out to sea with her marine anchor in her hand.
The base is in imitation marble wood.
It is signed Ch.Ruchot on the back and a metal plaque on the front “Détresse par Ruchot”
Active from around 1890 to 1925, he produced works successively inspired by Greek Antiquity, Art Nouveau then Art Deco. He produces a number of decorative or utilitarian pieces in bronze or regula: statuettes, lamps, clocks and advertising objects.
