Originally these were vases at least 150 years old and turned into lamps before the mid century modern Era. Absolutely the best detailing and workmanship much like the chinese Imperial court artists creations with various scenes depicted with movement and character. Good condition overall with a few imperfections/hairline on the rims and a minor chip on one of the sides ( see images) . Provenance: A New York North Shore Long Island Goald Coast estate with antique chinese jade as well as ming dynasty porcelain.. Note the lamps measure an impressive 29 inches high to the top of the gilt reticulated finials and the vases with their bronze bases measure 14" tall . See less
