The reeded, solid mahogany top is Georgian, probably from the first quarter of the 19th century. The three well-carved, turned columns with downswept, reeded sabre supports terminating in brass claw cappings and brass castors were made for the tabletop c. 1890. The table without leaves is 74" long. One 36" leaf and two 21" leaves permit the table to extend to a full 152" length (photos show table with no leaves or the one larger leaf). The leaves can be added in any combination. Seats 6 people with no leaves and 12-14 with all three leaves.

Purchased from an established antique dealer in the UK in the late 1990s and lovingly cared for, this spectacular antique would be a wonderful addition to many styles or collections. Please note that four of the brass "keys" that lock the leaves in place are missing. See less
