Dom Hans van der Laan stood at the beginning of the architectural movement in which it was common to design furniture and bespoke interior features specifically for a building, mostly religious buildings. This dining set is designed according to 'het plastische getal' (plastic number) which was invented by Dom Hans van der Laan and which was a way of designing furniture in a mathematical way. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
