Inscribed verso 'AL.P. Moretti' for Lucien Philippe Moretti (French, 1922-2000), titled 'Jeudi à la Maison' (Thursday at Home) and painted circa 1955.
A period watercolor interior scene showing two girls relaxing at home, surrounded by books and musical instruments.
This well-listed French Modernist studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and was appointed Associate Member of the National Society of Fine Arts in 1947. He was the recipient of numerous prizes, medals and juried awards and his work may be found in museums worldwide.
