Small Vintage Japanese Negoro Chest with Three Drawers
Dimensions: Height 24 cm, Width 17.5 cm, Depth 22.5 cm.
This chest features a warm chestnut reddish-brown color and adds a unique touch to any stylish interior.
It’s a perfect storage piece for jewelry, keys, writing materials, hobby supplies, and more.
The 'Negoro technique' is a traditional Japanese lacquer method involving multiple layers of red and black lacquer applied to wooden surfaces. By intentionally wearing away the layers, the underlying color is revealed, creating an antique, worn appearance.
This technique is valued for its rich texture and aesthetic depth, giving the impression of age and use.
