A Postmodern "Hollywood" ceramic teapot or coffee pot designed by Italian architect and designer Marco Zanini (born 1954) for Bitossi. Made in Italy, this teapot is pink in color with a white semicircular handle on the body and small blue knob on the teapot’s lid. The teapot is marked “Le Ceramiche di Bitossi by Flavia Montelupo Italy Designed by Marco Zanini” to the underside.
Marco Zanini was born in Trento. He graduated in architecture from the University of Florence and furthered his studies in the USA. He began his collaboration with Ettore Sottsass in Milan in 1977. In 1981 he was one of the founders of the Memphis group, for which he designed. His designs are held in major museums and galleries worldwide.
