Titled verso on Royal Society of Painters in Watercolors exhibition label:
"Pottery Mug With Carnations" and also with artist's printed label verso.
A finely painted, cabinet-size watercolor and gouache still-life of pink carnations shown informally arranged in a ceramic mug and contrasted against a neutral background. A lovely and delicate work by this noted English water-colorist and member of the Royal Society of British Artists.
