Stamped canvas verso with certification of authenticity for Dora Masters (American, 1916-2003), bearing stamped wax seal and painted circa 1965.
Provenance: Acquired from the artist's son.
A substantial, mid-century abstract oil comprising superimposed organic forms in jade, teal and rust contrasted against and appearing to circulate around a central core.
Dora Masters exhibited widely and with success throughout the 1950s and '60s, including at the San Francisco Art Association. We are pleased to offer a dynamic and painterly abstract by this notable California modernist.
