Signed lower right, "Amy Burnett" and dated 1992.
A substantial watercolor and gouache study of a bearded and weathered cowboy wearing a dun-colored, broad-brimmed hat, and showing a view of four riders on horseback in the foreground set against a bold, geometric and organic patterned background in vibrant shades of turquoise, coral and indigo.
Amy Burnett first studied at Olympic College in Bremerton and, subsequently, at the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles. She has exhibited widely and with success including at galleries in Sedona, Santa Fe and Jackson Hole and she been the recipient of numerous prizes, medals and juried awards. Currently Burnett exhibits at her own gallery, Amy Burnett Fine Art, in Bremerton, WA.
