Offered is a striking heavy Chinese carved rosewood coffee table, two tiers. The rectangular table has a plain top and is distinguished by a rounded finish at edges. The piece features lengthwise side aprons with auspicious characters, each decorated with a longevity symbol at center flanked by bats and flora accented demi-longevity symbols. The side openwork panels feature a stylized central divider. All decorative relief carvings of the aprons and openwork panels are surrounded by an ornate scrolling pattern. This fine hand-crafted table, with mortise and tenon construction, is supported by traditional hoof feet.
