This is an antique late 18th century (1700's) small, HAND FORGED, hammered and dovetailed smelting pot for melting metals that would hang in a hearth over a fire. (Magnet does not adhere.) The patina is gorgeous!
Beautiful 200+ Year Old Piece. Really nice old, old, old antique. VERY special and unique for anyone that loves accent pieces with a story from Early American history.
Height is 10" with the handle standing up and approximately 5" diameter. Beautiful and interesting to display!
