The piece … Read more Presented in this listing is a bronze circular sculpture titled "Apollo" by the late American artist Leonard Baskin. The piece is embossed with Baskin's surrealist depiction of the Greek god Apollo as a muscular, armless man with the head of a bird, and adorned with botanicals at his shoulders. It measures approximately 6 1/2" in diameter and 3/8" in thickness and is signed and titled in the plate. Its back shows its production date (1969), edition number (123/250), and a hook for wall hanging. The piece is in excellent vintage condition with only the subtlest of wear commiserate with age, and comes with the plexiglass stand when in the images.
