*Aeneas meets the ghost of Créuse: Aeneas flees Troy carrying his father Anchises on his back, his wife Créuse follows with their child. Aeneas loses sight of his wife, and returns to Troy to find her, but she has been killed: her ghost appears to Aeneas to predict his next journeys and the search for a new homeland.

At the fall of Troy, Aeneas receives a prophecy according to which he will found a new city (Rome). After a long journey, he and his companions arrive at the Strophades Islands, where harpies, monsters with the bodies of vultures and the heads of women, lived at the time. As they prepare to eat the hunted game, they are attacked by Harpies.
Aeneas ordered his men to fight the harpies, but their weapons could not harm them.
