Beautiful antique Davenport bureau in burl walnut. Light brown leather inlay with gold profiling. Under the writing surface there is 1 small drawer and 2 false drawer fronts. On the right side there are 4 drawers with knobs. And a very small drawer for writing utensils. This is locked on the inside. The other side are not real drawers. Despite the small dimensions there is still a lot of storage space in the furniture. The Davenport bureau was first made in the George III period ca. 1790, by the famous cabinetmaker Gillows of Lancaster.
