Signed with Jansen stamp underneath on the wood frame and with fantastic provenance: from the estate of Roger Prigent (Malmaison).. This truly refined and sophisticated collectors piece has been refinished in a deep orange color that is close to Hermes Orange and is ready to grace the home or office of a design connoisseur or art collector.

The color is truly beautiful. While not exactly the same color as Hermes Orange, it has the same regal feel. Some descriptive words to help describe the color - perhaps blood orange, crimson orange or sunset orange. It has a vibrant, rich hue that is deep, saturated orange with hints of red.

From the 1880s to the 1980s, Maison Jansen outfitted many of the most important homes and offices from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, and Pamela Harriman just to name a few. CONDITION:
Wood frame was refinished and lacquered. Marble has light wear and signs of age, including some light scuffs, chips, staining and scratches. Attractive and ready for immediate use, or marble can be replaced or restored upon request. See less
