This example is signed with a Knoll Associates label with their 320 Park Avenue address (dating this table from 1961 to 1968).

Schultz designed the Petal series, with dining, coffee, and side /drinks table size variants, which won the design award from Industrial Design Magazine in 1961.

The beautiful Redwood top was professionally refinished, and features eight petal sections made from wood which each attach to the branch styled steel pronged base.

This 'Petals' coffee table by Richard Schultz for Knoll International would work great in a Mid-Century Modern, Scandinavian Modern or Danish modern home or penthouse apartment but could also look fantastic in a contemporary or Postmodern room.
