This pair of French vintage faux tortoiseshell pedestals are in the style of Doric columns to appear at once Classical and timeless for any modern interior. The tops are flat to display a vase or sculpture, accented just below by a coin-edge pattern embossed in gold. Narrow and tall shafts of the columns are animated by mesmerizing swirls of tan and dark brown that beautifully recreates the organic variation found in natural shell. Note there are a few intentional holes where something was previously installed on both tops and side (possibly these were meant to be floor lamps or part of the architecture), please view all the detailed images to see the current condition. Sold as a pair.
