A vintage reproduction print of antique Ukiyo-e woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige, from his series, "The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō Road".
Sixth Station: Fujisawa. In the title block: "The Yugyoji Temple" - which we see on the hills on the right, a well-known Buddhist sanctuary, founded by the Saint Ippen in 1325. Below, a Torii gate of a Shinto Temple that three blind men are about to cross.
This reproduction print is not a woodblock reproduction, but offset, full-color print. Detailed.
Comes from a rare art folio published by Editions du Credit Lyonnais in Paris, France, in 1960. Printed in France, on one side of high-quality heavy paper. Blank back, numbered on the back: VII.
Nearly excellent condition - minor edge wear, it was pinned in the past, two tiny holes very close to the top corners were smoothed and are slightly visible, never framed.
