A vintage reproduction print of antique Ukiyo-e woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige, from his series, "The Fifty-three Stations of the Tōkaidō Road".
Tenth Station: Hakone. In the title block: "View of the Lake". The passage of the procession of a feudal lord in the parade. We see the flat hats with wide brims of the retinue and the two halberds covered with their sheaths. The style in which the mountains are treated denounces Chinese influences, especially that of the "School of Letters".
This reproduction print is not a woodblock reproduction, but offset, full-color print. Detailed.
