A vintage reproduction print of antique Ukiyo-e woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige, from his series, "The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō Road".
Before arriving at Odawara, the Ninth Station, the towers of the castle seen in the distance. The procession of the feudal lord crosses the Sakawa River, which name is indicated in the title block.
This reproduction print is not a woodblock reproduction, but offset, full-color print. Detailed.
Comes from a rare art folio published by Editions du Credit Lyonnais in Paris, France, in 1960. Printed in France, on one side of high quality heavy paper. Blank back, numbered on the back: X.
Nearly excellent condition - minor edge wear, it was pinned in the past, two tiny holes very close to the top corners were flattened and are barely visible, never framed.
