The high fired hand painted glazed ceramic tiles are created by the artist and designer Harris Strong in the Mid Century. They feature gorgeous Modernist style European cultural landscape vistas in a beautiful vibrant multicolor palette. Each wall art panel is designed of a three tile composition mounted on heavyweight walnut wood panel plaques.

Harris Strong ( 1920 - 2006 ) The American painter, ceramicist, printmaker, engraver, designer, and photographer is renowned for his decorative art, especially for his fine hand painted ceramic wall hangings. Strong created an award winning 30 ft long free standing ceramic wall mural in The Waldorf Astoria Hotel New York City in the 1960's. Well known for developing new techniques and textures in his hand painted ceramic art tile work. During the height of Strong's success, demand for his decorative art supported showrooms in New York, Chicago, High Point, and Tokyo, with representation in Canada, The Caribbean and The Middle East. Strong traveled extensively internationally to resource the highest level of materials for his designs.

The set of two rare one of a kind ceramic art tile walnut wood art panels each measure 11" W X 24" H X 3/4" D, with an attached hanging wire on the reverse back side for easy wall installation.

They are in excellent vintage condition consistent with age, use, and light signs of handling and wear. There is a small repair to the wood finish on the upper right facing corner of one panel.
