This very realistic model of a baby elephant stands almost six feet tall at 68" (173cm). The elephant is covered in chocolate brown leather that is very thick and textured & simulates the hide of an elephant very well. The model has glass eyes and tusks made of wood, there are wheels to the feet allowing the elephant to be moved with ease (added later but can be easily removed).
The elephant internally is most likely made of a strong compacted sawdust type material, the elephant is rigid and very strong and stable, in fact one could sit on this very handsome pachyderm.
There are such models made later in the century however they are not of the same quality and do not present as a realistic likeness of a baby elephant. This model really looks like and elephant and is in great condition.
Weight is around 150lbs.
