This high-quality studio ceramic art vase was created by the famous ceramist siegfried gramann for the töpferhof römhild in thuringia, germany (then gdr) during the 1950s. Gramann became head of the pottery making in 1958. The company is family-owned since 1720. It was nationalized as veb töpferhof römhild in the gdr but was returned to the family in the 1990s. During gdr times the company became the biggest hand pottery in europe.
the company's ceramics studio was the heart from which new innovations in form ans color constantly emerged. Artistic highlights were the international ceramics symposia initiated by siegfried gramann. This piece has an attribution mark,
