The tall brushpot is decorated with a finely carved and detailed, central figure of the Buddha, seated in padmasana on a lotus throne, with ornate mandorlas and halos, above a lotus flower, Dharmachakra symbols, and nine nagas, and surrounded by the Eight Immortals and other deities, all finely carved with many ornate details around the brushpot, totaling twenty three figures. The finely carved, traditional, Chinese, hongmu stand is included. Circa Republic of China era or earlier.
