Circa 1877 Lobmeyr footed pitcher in the “Oriental” taste enameled in blue, white and gilt. Famous Austrian-Bohemian glassware company, J&L Lobmeyr, was named for the sons of Josef Lobmeyr who established the company in 1823. His children Josef and Louis, took over the company eventually. The Lobmeyr mark (see photo) reflects both of their initials.
This pitcher is in very good original condition with a minor loss of blue enamel on the decorated collar where the body of the pitcher swells. Please see photo.
