Fo; [48] 276 [36] 57 [3] pp. 18th century full calf, 2 parts in 1 vol., gilt-decorated spine with red morocco label, some worming (in blank top corner, minor worm-tracks in 3*4-4*6 touching some letters), endpapers loose or loosening (last ff. damp-stained, old repair to last f.), old institutional rubber-stamps on title page and elsewhere. Good.

1st edition of the Latin translation of the Apostolic Constitutions, ascribed to Clemens Romanus (1st c.) by the Spanish Jesuit Francisco Torres (1509-1584). He had earlier edited the Greek text at Venice (1563). The printing of the work was for a long period interrupted by the Spanish Fury (1576).
