This piece comes with an information card from retailer, Marshall Field & Company and their Field's Afar antique sales program. It was purchased from them in the 1960s and has a note from them stating this is an antique Mid-19th Century gold and pearl brooch C. 1860. "Body of brooch gold in the shape of a leaf. Spray of flowers in the center of gold and pearl.

The bail will accommodate up to a 3.3 mm chain.
