Crafted from pine, it features elegantly scrolled arms and a gently undulating top rail,. On the back, original back splats display a carved shell motif. Perhaps this bench was made for a Swedish country house near the water? Featuring all wood pegged and mortise and tennon construction, this bench was made by an accomplished craftsman. The pine wood has a warm and mellow tone, with a beautiful patina.

Lift off the bench seat to reveal a full storage drawer with hand dovetail joinery. The drawer slides out offering plenty of storage space. We think that this Swedish bench would be a charming addition to any home, from an entry bench, to a mudroom or a hallway. Place it somewhere special where your guests can admire its wonderful details.

This bench has been restored and lightly waxed to seal and preserve it's lovely patina. The bench is sturdy and stable and ready to be cherished for the next 150+ years. See less
