Just in this perfect example of the French Aesthetic Movement in the late 19Th. century.
This French Art Nouveau Tortoiseshell Bamboo & Lacquer Chinoiserie Bookcase and Etagere also has at the bottom a rack for magazines or record.
Each shelf has a Chinoiserie lacquer plaque decorated with birds and foliage,
the four main bamboo structures still have their original metal endings at the top.
Very good antique condition consistent with age and use.
