All of the leather on the exterior is old and there are zero new leather replacements parts and that alone is a rarity these days. Our Old Plank Upholstery Department spent 40-Hours completely disassembling each French Leather Club Chair restoring just on the interiors, which encompassed strictly abiding by Old School upholstery standards, which includes, horsehair, shredded coco fibers and wadded wool for padding, with coil springs being tied 8-ways by hand. All questionable sections of the French Leather have been reinforced on the reverse side, with the addition of a heavy-duty fabric glued to the to the back of the leather to prevent any future cracking. Our matched Pair of French Leather Club Chairs are of course as comfortable as the they are great looking.
