This is one of a small grouping of French Art Deco hair design prints we recently purchased in Paris. It was originally a supplement to “La Coiffure Française Illustré, a French periodical of hairstyles that was published monthly. This image dates to February 1935. It is in pristine condition with strong natural hues of brown and gray tones. Illustrated and signed by René Rambaud. Rambaud (1887-1967) was an avant-garde hairdresser of his time. He had his professional salon on the esteemed rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. Today the René Rambaud Lycée (High School) of Hairdressing offers the prestigious CAP Coiffure, Certificate d’Aptitude Prossionnelle. This image has strong graphic Art Deco styling; it is chic, dramatic, exotic and unique. Perfect gift idea!
